We love boards and we love the rustic look that can be achieved. From building sites to festivals- all our boards are reclaimed.
Our Story
Danshelves is a family run business founded and run by Dan back in 2021. We are on a mission to use reclaimed timber to cut down on the use of new timber. Using reclaimed scaffold boards is a great way to create beautiful pieces of furniture for your home or business.
Our Commitment
From our premises in the heart of the Dorset countryside, we hold a large stock of dry stored scaffold boards that are hand selected. They are then lovingly sanded and finished to your choice.

More Than Shelves
We aim to not only offer a great service as standard, but also a great product that sets us apart from other companies offering reclaimed boards. Scaffold boards almost sell themselves – but once you add our range of finishes (from Japanese Shou Sugi Ban style “scorched wood” to stained boards), then you have a unique, handmade, beautiful product whether it’s a wall shelf or part of a coffee table.
On top of this, we offer individual boards courier shipped to you and also welcome enquiries for bulk purchases for larger projects such as whole room cladding or flooring.
